The idea for Sustainabyte came about when Anastasia witnessed her Uncle's bakery struggle with operations and inefficiencies. The key things she noticed were that he would frequently overestimate demand during production planning, which lead to inventory losses, and additional labor costs such as hiring 3 staff when all he needed was 2 for the day.

Anastasia then questioned her Uncle why not just use an analytics software on the market such as MYOB or Lightspeed POS forecasting module, which he responded to that they were too complicated to set up and not intuitive.

Classic lightbulb moment, she recruited Mridula from university and did some research into the Bakery industry, finding that almost 70% of bakeries in Australia struggle with the same problems of production forecasting. Thus Sustainabyte was born!

Our goal is to build a market leading forecasting solution that helps bakeries plan production more accurately using extensive Machine Learning techniques, and designing it to be really simple to use. We made sure you do not need to be a technical whiz to integrate the tool easily with your operations.

Now bringing on a third co founder Matt to build and scale the software along with Mridula, we are passionate about ensuring bakeries like Anastasia's Uncle thrive in this tough economy.
